About IMB Auctions
IMB Auctions is a newly established online livestock auction platform founded by Ina Marie Burger. We are beginning with a clear focus on cattle, creating a straightforward space where buyers can view quality lots and bid with confidence.
We are grateful for your support as we start this journey and work toward building IMB Auctions into a trusted name with strong results for the livestock community.
How the auction works
The catalogue and bidding room are online, while the auction follows the clear, fair rhythm of a traditional sale.
Complete the free buyer form. We verify your details before you can bid.
Read the lot particulars, media and available livestock documentation.
The bidding room remains open for 48 hours, from 09:00 on 28 September to 09:00 on 30 September.
Members must be logged into their account to place a bid. Select the cattle lot you wish to bid on, enter your amount in the Bidding Field at the next available increment, then click Bid and confirm it. Your bid is then registered.
You can also use the Quick Bid amounts, or enter a Maximum Bid. Maximum Bid acts as an auto-bid and places bids for you at the next available increment up to your chosen maximum.
A bid placed in the final two minutes extends that lot by two minutes, giving every buyer a fair chance.
Once the sale is complete, the IMB Auctions platform will issue an invoice to the buyer and exchange the vendor's and buyer's details.
The buyer must make payment into the designated IMB Auctions account within 24 hours after the sale. The IMB Auctions team then completes the transfer of ownership and releases the sale proceeds to the vendor. The buyer is responsible for arranging and paying for collection and transport of the cattle.
Before sale day
Buyer details are checked before a bidder number is issued.
The catalogue is released 14 days before each sale. Every lot shows its location, owner or breeder, identification, health information and supplied documents.
The Rules of Auction, payment terms, collection arrangements and buyer fees will be published before bidding opens. Buyers arrange and pay for transport of cattle.
Our team can help sellers complete the online form. Call or WhatsApp 069 144 0616, or email inamarieburger1@gmail.com.
Frequently asked questions

IMB Auctions follows a monthly sale schedule, with catalogues released 14 days before each auction.
Cattle value is influenced by breed, age, sex, weight, condition, genetics, pregnancy status, health records, market demand and the quality of the information supplied for the lot.
Yes. Once you are a registered member and have completed the free registration process, verified your email address and spoken with an IMB Auctions team member, you are welcome to bid on any cattle listed in the catalogue.
Buying cattle online through IMB Auctions can be more cost-effective because it reduces the overheads and transport costs associated with attending physical sales.
If bidding does not reach the set reserve price, the lot is passed in. Following the auction, the platform facilitates contact between the vendor and the highest bidder to see whether they can negotiate a private sale and finalise the transaction.
